Little Explorers Club: Life in the Forest

What sort of life do you find when you go into the woods? From the roots of the trees to the tips of their branches there are potentially millions of lifeforms crawling, climbing, and flying through the forests looking for a place to call home. Little Explorers Club will take you on this quest beneath the branches to see what kinds of life you may find.

Little Explorers Club is intended for learners age 3-5.

Tickets are $5 for Museum Members and $10 for general admission.

Wednesday sessions return for summer!

These towering wood sculptures used by Native American tribes to tell their history have long been a mystery to people attempting to decypher their meaning. Learn how animals, plants, and people make up the best totem pole origins with Little Explorers Club!

Join event chairs Noreen and Darren Dupriest for the Museum at Prairiefire’s largest annual fundraiser. Explore the stars, dig for fossils, walk with dinosaurs, command robots, and more! All while you enjoy elegant dining stations and a wonderful evening with friends and colleagues.

Your attendance helps bring more than 3,000 low-income students to the Museum for a day of science exploration through our KC Urban Advantage initiative.

                                                  Science Happy Hour: A Total Eclipse of the Sun

                                                  Join us on Tuesday, June 27th as we welcome eclipse-chaser Jackie Beucher from the Astronomical Society of Kansas City for a talk about the upcoming total solar eclipse in August. Jackie will explain the significance of the upcoming eclipse and it’s scientific origins.

                                                  Science Happy Hour is designed for adults and inquisitive youth. Tickets for Museum Members are $5 and general admission is $10. Drinks and appetizers are included with ticket purchase.
